I (Laura) recently spoke at Glasgow institution Gab – an event put on by our dear friends Jamhot – sharing a stage with enthusiastic and intrepid design engineer, Demi Akin-Adeniyi, experienced and illustrious Koto founder, James Greenfield, and the always sharp, forever brilliant Eilidh Mackay.
Thanks so much to everyone who came along and said nice things, I really enjoyed myself. I spoke about ambition – what it is, what it can be, and how it can come in many different forms. Then I gave some advice and a gushing shout-out to Jamhot before having three glasses of red wine. I also told attendees what I’m about to tell you.
If you’re going through a tough time right now, it will get better. You need to do the work to get out of it, of course, but you can – and you will. Don’t give up. Keep doing the right thing. Get help. And if you ever want to chat, ping me an email.
