You know that saying, ‘a change is as good as a rest’? Well, we think you should do both.
Yes, time elsewhere is always inspirational. But without real downtime, it’s difficult to maintain a high level of creative problem solving.
After over five years of running our business, we finally took a proper holiday in one of our favourite places: Shetland. And we’re back feeling more energised than ever (way more than our usual six-cups-of-coffee levels).
Enjoy some snaps of what is probably the most magical island on the planet.

Of course we took pictures of type.

This is a wild Shetland pony – they’re very small and hardy, a bit like me (Laura).

Unfortunately we just missed Simmer Dim (a time during summer where the sun barely dips below the horizon and the sky doesn’t get fully dark), but the light was still pretty stunning.

Around 20 miles west of the mainland lies Foula, one of the UK’s most remote inhabited islands. This is it.

Lighthouses, bunting and caves (oh my!).

Known as ‘tammie norries’ in Shetland, puffins return to the cliffs to breed between April and August. As you can see, they’re extremely cute.
If you’ve gotten to this point in this post, you should probably just book tickets to Shetland. Send us a postcard!
